And Finally... A Name

We finally decided on a name for our new boy. A little explanation I think adds to the strength of this name. Before the boy was born, I wanted to name him Zachary. Amber liked the name, but did not want to settle on it before she saw him. Amber liked the names Jacob, Samuel, and Nathan. I did not care for any of those. So as you can see, we were at a dead end that was only going to be solved after we saw the newborn. About 10 hours after he was born, we sat down and each wrote a list of the names we liked. On this list were three common names: Jacob, Zachary, and Joshua. We eached ranked our top names after comparing each name to the face and "look" or our new boy. At the top of both our lists was Joshua. After looking at him, we both decided Zachary and Jacob did not fit at all and that Joshua was a perfect match. Not once did we think about or discuss Joshua as a possibility for a name before today. This is a true testament to the power of inspiration from our Heavenly Father. Our new little boy's name is Joshua Robert Oliphant.
